Luigi Bianchi Mantova Sartoria FW 16/17: classical and contemporary styles at Pitti 89
The new Luigi Bianchi Mantova Sartoria collection revolves around warmth, weightlessness (in terms of weight and tailoring) and nature.
Valuable natural yarns, warm to the touch in spite of their light weight: from pure wool to wool blends, cashmere, silk and pure cashmere to face the winter weather light-heartedly.
Not only the yarns, but also the colours are natural, plain or with dashes of bright colours.
Besides the classical blues and greys in a variety of shades, the timeless charm of camel prevails, from the lightest and most delicate shades to the stronger hues. They are the perfect choice for those seeking versatile garments that also create an extremely chic, sophisticated look. Warm honey colours complete the palette of beiges and browns.
For jackets in particular there is a return to patterns, large and strong, but often delicately blended.
Those who don’t want to be caught out by bad weather should never be without down jackets and sportswear: for the first time our collection includes a selection of technical jackets; down jackets with or without sleeves, hooded parkas and quilted coats.
Inspired by the past but revisited with a contemporary flair, the iconic garment for this season is the overcoat: the choice of models is vast, from the classicChesterfield coat, to the innovativeblazer-coat as light as a jacket, to comfortable travel coats with neck warmers, all treated with a sophisticated water-resistant finish. The models include single or double breasted coats with patch, welt or trench pockets, with or without ticket pocket and with or without back vent or half belt. These details add an elegant touch which makes each garment in the collection unique.
